SUBSTITUTED HETEROCYCLES AND THEIR USE AS ALLOSTERIC MODULATORS OF NICOTINIC AND GABAA RECEPTORS

The present invention is related to heterocycles represented by a compound of Formula (I) that are novel allosteric modulators of a7 nAChRs and/or GABAA receptors. The invention also discloses the treatment of disorders that are responsive to enhancement of acetylcholine action on a7 nAChRs and negative allosteric modulation of GABAA receptors in a mammal by administering an effective amount of a compound of Formula (I).
