PURPOSE: Castella cake made with rice bran is provided to reduce the content of carbohydrate inside the castella cake by using the rice bran, eggs, and brown sugar. CONSTITUTION: Castella cake made with rice bran contains 150g of rice bran, 150g of brown sugar, 10 eggs, 2ts of cooking oil, and 1ts of bay salt. A making method of the castella cake comprises the following steps: sieving the rice bran; separating egg whites and yolks from eggs, and stirring each portion; preheating an oven; whipping the egg whites after adding the salt and the cooking oil; mixing the egg whites with the brown sugar, the egg yolks, and the rice bran; and baking the mixture in the oven. |
