AN EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR TENSION TEST OF FRP BAR

PURPOSE: A device and a method for tension test of a FRP bar are provided to enable the strength of a FRP bar to be measured without breaking of both ends of a FRP bar. CONSTITUTION: A device for tension test of a FRP bar comprises a cylinder(110), a FRP bar(140), a fixing unit(120) and a support frame(130). The cylinder comprises a cavity and is formed in pair. The FRP bar is placed in the cavity of the cylinder. The fixing unit fixes the FRP bar to the cavity. The support frame couples the cylinder and applies tension in both directions. The cavity comprises a slope so that its diameter gets larger toward the end of each cylinder.
