PURPOSE: A catalyst for a fuel cell is provided to conspicuously reduce the content of expensive platinum catalyst while maintaining properties thereof. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for a fuel cell is coated on the surface of a nano cube in a core-shell type. The nano cube is oxide particles. The catalyst metal particles are platinum(Pt) or palladium(Pd). The thickness of a catalyst metal particle layer coated with the nano tube is 1-100 nm. A film electrode assembly for a fuel cell includes an electrode containing a porous electrode catalyst layer at both sides of the electrolyte film.
