PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display apparatus and a method of driving the same are provided to reduce flicker by driving the polarity of a sub pixel based on the polarity of other sub pixel. CONSTITUTION: A color filter comprises a plurality of sub pixels. A plurality of sub pixels correspond to one 4 color components a sign signal voltage supply circuit applies a sign signal voltage to the pixel electrode of each sub pixel. A common voltage supply circuit supplies common voltage to the common electrode of each sub pixel. The polarity inversion circuit turns polarity by unit sub pixel. The polarity indicates the size relation between the pixel electrode voltage and the common voltage.
