PURPOSE: A rail switch is provided to achieve improved durability of a tongue rail without changing the routes of a stock rail and the tongue rail or applying anti-abrasive coating on an inner plank. CONSTITUTION: A rail switch(10) comprises a stock rail(12) having a rail head(16) and a tongue rail(14) which has a stopper side extended from a peak(20) and is put on or separate from the head of the stock rail. The rail head of the stock rail is deviated from the general structure by removing a material(24) in the stopper side area of the tongue rail. The tongue rail is thickened to correspond to the size of removal of the material in each transverse section of the stock rail and the tongue rail. The size of material removal is reduced from the peak of the tongue rail to an end(22) of the tongue rail area contacting the stock rail.
