GAS-BARRIER MEDICAL TUBE HAVING EXCELLENT HEAT RESISTANCE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical tube which is excellent in safety by suppressing dissolution of a crosslinking agent into a liquid flowing inside the tube since the tube contains almost no harmful crosslinking agent, has gas-barrier properties sufficient for use in the medical field, has heat resistance and hot water resistance, and causes extremely low deterioration of the gas-barrier properties after heat sterilization.SOLUTION: The medical tube includes a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C). The modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) is obtained by modifying an unmodified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) with an epoxy compound (B) having a double bond. The amount modified by the epoxy compound (B) is 0.1-10% by mole relative to the amount of monomer units of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A). At least a part of the modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) is crosslinked and has a gel fraction of 3 mass% or more.
