Provided are a connection structure and a connection method for a flexible flat cable, wherein a mold portion forming die is not necessary, a connector joint can be established by converting pitches without complicating the structure of a connector. The connection structure for a flexible flat cable, wherein a flexible flat cable (13) formed by arranging a plurality of rectangular conductors (11) in parallel is connected to a plurality of connector terminals arranged in an arrangement pitch different from that of the rectangular conductors (11) is comprised of a intermediate routing member (17) which arranges a plurality of branched conductors (19) in parallel. Ends of the branched conductors (19) on one side thereof are connected to the connector terminals, and the lengths of the branched conductors (19) are different from one another in accordance with the arrangement pitch. The intermediate routing member (17) is inclined with respect to the flexible cable (13) in the same plane, and is overlapped on the flexible flat cable (13). The other ends of the branched conductors (19) of the intermediate routing member (17) are connected to the rectangular conductors (11), respectively. |
