PURPOSE: A method of controlling the thickness of the liquid layer of a high-speed rotating roller in the liquid is provided to control the thickness of the liquid layer of an area of making contact with a printed surface using a blade for blocking the air flow into the rear of the roller. CONSTITUTION: A method of controlling the thickness of the liquid layer of a high-speed rotating roller in the liquid is as follows. A blade(6) is installed, which is sink in the liquid at the rear of a printing roller(3) and is extended in the longitudinal direction of the roller. The blade moves on the circumferential surface of the roller. The thickness of the liquid layer on the upper circumferential surface of the roller is controlled. The blade is installed on a line, which is radially extended from the center of the roller. The blade moves within a range of 90~15° downwardly and backward from the center of the roller and thus the thickness of the liquid layer is obtained.
