Provided is an actuator (110) equipped with a rod (101) that has a magnet (103) and a forcer (102) that includes a coil (104) surrounding the aforementioned rod (101), that moves the aforementioned rod (101) and the aforementioned forcer (102) in relation to each other along the lengthwise direction of the aforementioned rod (101) by means of an electric current flowing through the aforementioned coil (104) and the magnetic field of the aforementioned magnet (103); wherein the actuator is provided with bearings (118) that are disposed on both sides of the aforementioned forcer (102) in the aforementioned lengthwise direction and support both ends of the aforementioned rod (101) in the lengthwise direction, and a cylindrical yoke (120) that comprises magnetic material and surrounds the aforementioned forcer (102). The aforementioned yoke (120) extends in the aforementioned lengthwise direction towards both sides of the aforementioned forcer (102), and supports the aforementioned bearings (118).
