PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of removing noise caused by a dark signal from a solid-state imaging element.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging element including a plurality of photoelectric transducers each for accumulating charges corresponding to the quantity of incident light, and a charge transfer section disposed between the plurality of photoelectric transducers for transferring the charges accumulated in the plurality of photoelectric transducers. The imaging element is brought into an exposed state to perform imaging, thereby accumulating charges in the photoelectric transducers. In the state where the charges accumulated in the photoelectric transducers are not transferred, a non-exposed signal is read out to form data for correction. In the state where charges accumulated in the photoelectric transducers are transferred, the charges accumulated by imaging are read out and the data for correction are used to correct the charges accumulated by imaging. The corrected signal is then used to form an image. |
