PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face material for structure with a ventilation groove of novel constitution, capable of preventing a proof stress as the face material for the structure from getting low, while securing a sufficient ventilation space.SOLUTION: This face material 1 for the structure is used in an exterior backing, and is formed with the ventilation groove 2 by compressing partially at least one face of a wood fiber plate obtained by hot-press-molding a wood fiber mixed with an adhesive. A strength is prevented from getting low in a thinned groove portion, although getting low in the prior art of forming a ventilation groove by cutting work, since a density of a bottom part of the ventilation groove is made higher than a density of a portion formed with no ventilation groove, and the required structural proof stress is secured thereby. |
