PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of setting a negative pressure maintaining means that can reduce a pumping loss due to an internal pressure of a crank case by more suitably adjusting the internal pressure of the crank case, and, thereby, achieving an improved output and an improved fuel efficiency.SOLUTION: The method of setting the negative pressure maintaining means includes a step of blocking a gas supply path for supplying gas to the crank case, and a step of measuring a pressure inside the crank case in a state where the gas supply path is blocked, which are sequentially performed. When the measured pressure is a negative pressure, a step of mounting the negative pressure maintaining means is performed so that the pressure becomes a predetermined pressure between the measured pressure and the atmospheric pressure. |
