<p>Disclosed is a renewal method for an existing elevator having an existing group managing device connected with platform operation boards, and existing elevator cages (6) connected with existing elevator control devices (5) individually connected with the existing group managing device. The elevator renewal method comprises a step of connecting a new group managing device (11) connected with a new platform operation board (10), with the existing elevator control devices (5) through a relay device (9) having a relay board (7) and an I/O board (8), so that the existing elevator cages (6) may be operated by the new platform operation board (10), and removing the existing group managing device together with the platform operation board, and a step of replacing the existing elevator cages (6) together with the existing elevator control devices (5) by new elevator cages (19) and new elevator control devices (20), so that the new elevator cages (19) may be operated by the new group managing device (11). The elevator can be replaced for a repair transition period by the elevator of the group management of the new system without deteriorating the services of the whole elevator, and can be renovated without decreasing the running efficiency thereof.</p> |
