PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a restart of an information processing apparatus, capable of receiving instructions to turn off a power supply by instructions from an external device and a power switch when the restart is proper.SOLUTION: When power OFF is instructed, the information processing apparatus starts a shutdown. When the instruction of the power OFF is caused by the power switch of the information processing apparatus when the power switch is turned on at the point when the shutdown is completed, the information processing apparatus executes the restart of the information processing apparatus. When the instruction of the power OFF is caused by the instruction from the external device when the power switch is turned on at the point when the shutdown is completed, the information processing apparatus does not execute the restart of the information processing apparatus. |
