PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which facilitates restoration even if a link lever for performing the pressure contact/isolation of a printing means comes off from a top cover.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes a casing body 2, the top cover 5, the printing means 32, a platen roller 35, a pressure contact/release mechanism that presses the printing means 32 into contact with the platen roller 35 and isolates from the platen roller 35, and the link lever 34 that has one end engaged with the top cover 5 and the other end connected with the pressure contact/release mechanism 51, and operates the pressure contact/release mechanism in conjunction with the opening and closing of the top cover 5 to perform the pressure contact/isolation of the printing means 32 to the platen roller 35. The top cover 5 has a guide rib 71 formed below a position where one end 34α of the link lever is engaged. When the one end 34α of the link lever comes off from the top cover 5 when the top cover 5 is opened, a guide surface 71A formed on the top surface of the guide rib 71 receives and holds the link lever 34. |
