PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst with excellent light-off performance and high temperature durability as DOC for cleaning a diesel engine exhaust gas, an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst which can reduce the use quantity of a precious metal and shows excellent cleaning performance and durability as a three-way catalyst for cleaning an exhaust gas from a gasoline engine, as well as a honeycomb structure of the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst using them.SOLUTION: The exhaust gas cleaning catalyst can be obtained by mixing a composite oxide carrying precious metals with alumina. The composite oxide contains alkali earth metals M, Fe and Ti and is of a single crystal phase as represented by M(FeTi)O; M(FeTi)O; M(FeTi)O; M(FeTi)O; or M(FeTi)O(0<z<0.5, δ is a value to be decided in such a way that charge neutrality conditions can be satisfied). In addition, the precious metal Pd or both the precious metals Pd and Pt are carried by the composite oxide. Also, the honeycomb structure of the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst is provided. |
