PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having electric characteristics of high sensitivity and a low residual potential and capable of forming an image with high performance and high picture quality by combining an appropriate charge generating substance and a charge transporting substance, for solving such a problem that, although a large number of charge generating substances and organic photoconductive materials are known, a photoreceptor having the best characteristics can not be necessarily obtained by employing a simple combination of a charge generating substance having high sensitivity and a charge transporting substance having a high mobility and a low residual potential selected from those substances.SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing a metal-containing phthalocyanine as a charge generating substance and a tertiary naphthyl amine compound expressed by formula (1). In formula (1), Arand Areach represents an aryl group having at most 10 carbon atoms constituting an aromatic ring; R represents a substituent except for hydrogen; n represents an integer of 0 to 7; and the aryl group may have a substituent. |
