摘要 Provided is a light-source device that excels in cooling efficiency, and wherein multiple light-source devices can be used by stacking them in the vertical direction, and which is to be used by having multiple light-source devices stacked in the vertical direction. The light-source device is provided with: a casing that has a height sufficiently smaller than the dimensions in the depth and width directions, and that has air-intake holes for bringing-in outside air and exhaust holes for discharging inside air, formed on the walls thereof; a fan that is arranged inside the aforementioned casing so as to have the rotating axis thereof slanted in regard to the height direction of the casing, that partitions the interior of the aforementioned casing into a front chamber and a rear chamber, and that forms an airflow from the aforementioned air-intake holes to the aforementioned exhaust holes; light-sources that are accommodated within the front chamber of the aforementioned casing; and a heat-radiation fin installed within the front chamber of the aforementioned casing, thermally connected to the aforementioned light-source. The aforementioned air-intake holes are formed on the walls of the front chamber of the aforementioned casing, and the aforementioned exhaust holes are formed on the rear wall of the aforementioned casing.
