The present invention relates to a method and device for channel encoding on a wireless communications system. In one example of the present invention, the method for channel encoding on a wireless communications system comprises: a first padding bit (pad bit) insertion step involving the determination of the size of a first padding bit for ensuring that the number of bits of encoded data generated by subjecting sent informational data to channel encoding and puncturing is an integer, and involving the insertion of the first padding bit into the informational data; and a second padding bit insertion step involving the determination of the size of a second padding bit for ensuring that the total number of bits in the encoded data is a multiple of the transmission standard unit when symbols generated by modulation of the encoded data are divided by the transmission standard unit and allocated to a transmission resource, and involving the insertion of the second padding bit into the encoded data.
