PURPOSE: A page buffer and a nonvolatile semiconductor memory device including the same are provided to implement a verification reading operation by selectively verifying data with respect to a specific program state. CONSTITUTION: A sense latch part(21) responses to a signal applied to bit-lines in order to vary stored data. A data latch part(22) stores a plurality of bits of data to be programmed in a program operation and a data verifying operation. The data latch part sets data which is stored by responding to a data latch controlling signal. A page buffer controlling part(23) controls the bit-lines according to the bits of data to be programmed. The page buffer controlling part outputs a sense latch controlling signal and the data latch controlling signal.
