PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition capable of giving high-quality images without any white stripe or roughness, even at low resolution, when actual printing paper such as art paper is used, and capable of suppressing curling in thin printing paper with a low basis weight.SOLUTION: The ink composition for inkjet recording contains at least a colorant, water, an alcohol solvent and a surfactant, provided that the alcohol solvent comprises an alkanediol sparingly soluble in water, a water-soluble 1,2-alkanediol and a water-soluble symmetrical alkanediol, and the surfactant comprises a gemini surfactant. |
