PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus, a processing unit and an IP (Internet Protocol) address management method which achieve high speed data transfer and channel increasing of the data transfer.SOLUTION: Pieces of position information according to installed positions of connectors 50-1 to 50-10 are assigned to the connectors beforehand. Then, the pieces of position information of the connectors 50-1 to 50-6 are read by processing unit 40-1 to 40-6 connected to the connectors, IP addresses determined based on the pieces of read position information and pieces of individual information showing functions of the connected processing units are transmitted to a control unit 20. On the basis of the received IP addresses and the individual pieces of information, the control unit 20 manages the IP addresses and the functions of the connected processing units while relating them with each other. |
