PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress outward dissipation of contaminants (for example, volatile organic compounds contained in building materials and household furniture) in living room spaces, and acquire a deodorizing function.SOLUTION: A contaminant treating agent treats contaminants (for example, volatile organic compounds 3) contained in building materials and household furniture 2 by applying the agent on the surface of contaminant generating sources (the building materials and household furniture 2) in, for example, building room spaces 1 as living room spaces. The agent is excellent in oily component solubility, and contains a stable pure water 4 which has a lower absorbance over time than pure water composed of purified water as measured by a spectrophotometer under the condition of being left to stand at least for 5 hours, and a Eucalyptus refined oil 5 which can be dissolved in the stable pure water 4 and contains cineol as a main component. In an another view, the stable pure water 4 may be regarded as a stable water 4 having an excellent oily component solubility and a water-repellency of exhibiting a higher water contact angle than pure water composed of purified water. |
