PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition without a use of a halogen-based flame retardant and a phosphorus-based flame retardant, and to provide a molded article.SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of the polycarbonate resin (A), 0.01 to 10 pts.wt. of divalent metal sulfate (B), and 0.01 to 8.0 pts.wt. of a silicone compound (C) having a branched main chain containing an organic functional group composed of an aromatic group or an aromatic group and a hydrocarbon group (excluding the aromatic group). The molded article is made of the composition. The flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition has excellent flame retardancy without using the conventional flame retardant containing halogen, phosphorous or the like. The composition can be used for various large-sized or thin-walled molded articles and various flame-retardant industrial component materials, since it is possible to improve the flame retardancy notably while maintaining impact strength, heat resistance, thermal stability and the like the polycarbonate resin possesses intrinsically. |
