PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a cause of an error when the error occurs in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an error cause database in which the connection of events of errors and fundamental causes are recorded. At the time of the occurrence of the error, an error cause database is searched on the basis of information on the error event, and the error cause is specified. When a single error cause cannot be specified, information on an apparatus state of the image forming apparatus is taken into consideration to analogize a single error cause. |
