PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fine air bubble generator have a simple and compact appliance configuration and make a method for generating fine air bubble and the fine air bubble generator applicable for various kinds of liquids with few limits of physical properties of the liquids and capable of stably generating fine air bubbles.SOLUTION: The method involves installing a piezoelectric substrate 2 having a plurality of comb-teeth-like electrodes 21 for oscillating surface acoustic wave W in the surface S in a liquid 10, oscillating surface acoustic wave W in the surface S by the electrode 21, and generating fine air bubbles B in the liquid 10 with surface acoustic wave W transmitted on the surface S in the liquid 10. Since the fine air bubbles B are generated with the surface acoustic wave W transmitted on the surface S of the piezoelectric substrate 2 in the liquid 10, any appliance for carrying out mechanical operation such as a high pressure pump to be used for generating swirling current and generating shearing force is unnecessary and fine air bubbles can stably be generated with a simple and compact appliance configuration. |
