The invention relates to an apparatus for indirect conversion of ocean wave energy into electric energy or into mechanical work. In this regard the apparatus comprises at least one floating element, a lever arm connected to the floating element and articulated at an articulation, a controlled pair of gear racks which is in contact with at least one pinion seated on the frame, and also a working machine or a generator which is driven by the pinion directly or via a transmission, wherein furthermore the pair of gear racks is coupled to the lever arm on the force side. According to the invention, for coupling between the pair of gear racks and the lever arm on the force side, a coupling rod is provided which on the one side is mounted to and pivots on the lever arm and on the other side is likewise mounted to and pivots on a connecting support, wherein the connecting support accommodates the ends of the gear racks of the pair of gear racks directed toward the lever arm. |
