PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can obtain satisfactory images without causing trouble such as damage to the image forming apparatus and developer leakage even if excessive developer is supplied to a developing device, and without degrading image quality regardless of continuity of images of high printing.SOLUTION: In the housing 11 of a developing device 9, a developer supply recovering section 17 is provided with a conveying member 13, and a developer agitating section 18 is provide with two agitating members 14 and 15 which are respectively rotated in the same direction when viewing rotation axes 14a and 15a from a front in the direction of the axes. A guide 24 is disposed on the internal bottom surface 27 of the housing 11 between the two agitating members 14 and 15. A braking section 44 for suppressing discharge of developer is provided on the downstream side of the developer agitating section 18 in the direction of developer conveyance of the first agitating member 14. A discharging section 45 having a developer discharging port 47 is provided on downstream side of the disk 46 of the braking section 44. |
