PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for surely detecting a characteristic pattern characterizing a copy-prohibited image from the read-out images.SOLUTION: The image processor extracts, from the read images, characteristic color pixels contained in the characteristic color range in which a color parameter is within the color range of characteristic pattern with a characteristic color extracting part 46, and determines, with an image determining part 47, whether the characteristic pattern is included in the image, through comparison between distribution of the characteristic color pixels extracted and distribution data showing distribution of the characteristic color pixels included in the characteristic pattern. The image processor actually reads a sample of the characteristic pattern and adjusts the characteristic color range stored in the characteristic color extracting part 46 so that distribution of the characteristic color pixels extracted from the read-out sample is fit in with the distribution data. The characteristic color range is adjusted thereby to a value to surely detect the characteristic pattern in accordance with image reading characteristics of each image processor. |
