PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material provided with a mechanical strength sufficiently durable for use when it is made to function as a filter.SOLUTION: The filter material is prepared by forming a zeolite thin film 4 on the surface of a porous base body 3 made of a ceramic sintered material, wherein a permeation speed of nitrogen gas of the porous base body is 200 to 7,000 m/(m×hr×atm) and a flux Q as permeation speed of water when being measured by supplying a supply liquid (mass ratio of ethanol/water=90/10) of 75°C to the filter material is 5.0 kg/mh or more. Thereby, the mechanical strength of the film sufficiently durable for use when it is made to function as the filter can be assured. |
