PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle recognizing device which properly recognizes an obstacle when a vehicle body is inclined.SOLUTION: This obstacle recognizing device 1 is mounted on a moving body, and includes object detecting means 10 and 31 for detecting a surrounding object of the moving body, and a surface area calculating means 32 for calculating an area of a travel surface detectable by the object detecting means 10 and 31 in response to the inclination of a vehicle body of the moving body, and is characterized in that the object existing in the area of the travel surface calculated by the surface area calculating means 32 among the objects detected by the object detecting means 10 and 31, is not recognized as the obstacle. |
