PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector configured so that the detection state of a detection object is easy to confirm.SOLUTION: The projector 11 includes a projection optical device 33 projecting an image and an exterior housing 2 which includes a detection device (camera) 51 for detecting the detection object within an image projection area. The projection optical device 33 has a reflecting mirror that reflects an incident image to project the image to a target projection surface; the exterior housing 2 has a pair of side surface parts 2A and 2B, respectively crossing in a vertical direction and opposite to each other, wherein one side surface part (top surface part) 2A of the pair of side surface parts 2A and 2B has an inclined surface (first inclined surface) 2A1, that inclines in a direction closer to the other side surface part (bottom surface part) 2B, according as the inclined surface 2A1 travels in the advancing direction of the image reflected by the reflecting mirror. A first aperture 2A12 for making the image reflected by the reflecting mirror pass through, is formed on the inclined surface 2A1. The detection device 51 is arranged adjacent to the first aperture 2A12 on the inclined surface 2A1. |
