PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiallergic cellulose fiber effectively inhibiting the reaction of an allergen with a specific antibody, and capable of reducing the allergic symptoms or preventing the occurrence thereof.SOLUTION: The antiallergic cellulose fiber has excellent antiallergic activities and exhibits the excellent antiallergic activities over a long period because a water-soluble compound having the antiallergic activities is accurately held without being washed out with water by laundry or the like and because the antiallergic cellulose fiber is obtained by extruding a spinning dope obtained by adding the water-soluble compound having the antiallergic activities to a liquid in which the cellulose is dissolved into a regenerating bath to coagulate and regenerate the cellulose into a fiber shape.
