PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for arranging/forming spacer particles by which density of the number of spacer particles is controlled with higher position accuracy as compared with a system by which the spacer particles are directly arranged and formed on a light shielding film of a color filter substrate by an inkjet system.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a color filter substrate with spacers includes a step of preparing a color filter substrate and a recessed plate having a recessed part formed in a position corresponding to a prescribed position of the color filter substrate, a step of ejecting a spacer ink in which spacer particles are dispersed in the recessed part of the recessed plate by an inkjet system, a step of evaporating a portion of a dispersion solvent by pre-drying the ejected spacer ink and assembling remaining spacer ink in the recessed part, a step of aligning the color filter substrate and the recessed plate and then transferring the ink remaining in the recessed part to the prescribed position on the color filter and a step of evaporating a volatile component of the remaining ink and fixing the spacer particles to the prescribed position of the color filter substrate. |
