PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a large-scale two-dimensional optical fiber array with high accuracy of arrangement by using a simple manufacturing method.SOLUTION: The optical fiber array includes: a plurality of optical fibers 7; a plurality of optical fiber ferrule means (a ferrule 8 and a flange 13 ) in which a through hole for the optical fiber is provided at the center of the through hole, wherein the optical fiber 7 is inserted into and held by the through hole; a plurality of arrangement substrates 3 to 6 on which a plurality of penetration guide holes (a guide hole 11) are provided for inserting the optical fiber ferrule means into the arrangement substrate; and a frame 2 for holding the plurality of arrangement substrates 3 to 6 in an aligned state. |
