PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing overhead further than when a buffer module reserves or releases a buffer of a fixed size during image processing.SOLUTION: An image processing section comprises a buffer module, at least on a pre-stage or on a post-stage of an image processing module for performing image processing on image data captured from the pre-stage and outputting the image-processed image data to the post-stage, for reserving a buffer in response to a data request from the post-stage, writing the image data from the pre-stage into the buffer, reading the written image data by means of the post-stage and releasing the buffer which has been completely read out. In the image processing section, a pattern (e.g., patterns (A)-(D)) of the data request from a post-stage module with respect to the buffer module is detected, a buffer reservation size is determined on the basis of the detected pattern, and in the next and subsequent operations, the buffer of the determined buffer reservation size is reserved by the buffer module. |
