The invention relates to technology which comprises a pharmaceutical formulation including dry biomass of viable probiotic strains of Lactobacillus spp., carriers and coadjuvants for the stability and survival of the microorganisms and to the use thereof in urinary tract infections, preferably of nosocomial origin, for preventive use before and after surgery in patients with urethral catheters and immunocompromised patients.
