PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform frame synchronization establishment and to shorten time before reaching the synchronization establishment.SOLUTION: In the optical signal receiver, simple synchronization detection circuits (37a-p) are provided in each of logical operation circuits (36a-p), and a method for performing the synchronization detection in parallel is adopted. A selector control part (39) monitors states of the parallelized simple synchronization detection circuits (37a-p), and supplies output from proper logical operation circuits (36a-p) which detect the synchronization establishment to a post-stage frame synchronization circuit, a termination circuit, etc. In addition, the output from the proper logical operation circuits (36a-p) is selected according to loads of a transmission line by providing a function for mitigating synchronization determination criteria when the synchronization establishment in all the synchronization detection circuits (37a-p) is not detected. |
