PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image reader efficiently irradiating an object to be read with light from both sides with low-cost and simple constitution.SOLUTION: The image reader irradiates a document D with light emitted from a plurality of light emitting elements 11 and 12 which are arranged side by side in a main-scanning direction A, and optically reads the reflected light. A top-view LED 11 which emits light in a direction perpendicular to a plane of a single substrate 20 and a side-view LED 12 which emits light in a direction parallel to the plane of the single substrate 20 are arranged on the single substrate 20. A readout position C is irradiated with the light emitted by the LED 11 through a photoconductor 30, and the readout position C is irradiated with the light emitted by the LED 12 through a reflecting member 35. |
