PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce banding in overlap processing.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a recording head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a recording liquid, which partially overlaps when scanning, or includes a plurality of recording heads having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting the recording liquid, at least two of which partially overlap when scanning, whereby an overlap area 700 is constituted. In an area 702 other than the end of the overlap area, printing data are distributed to the nozzles of each of the recording heads constituting the area 702 other than the end thereof, and in the end area 701 of the overlap area, printing data are converted into data corresponding to a drop amount smaller than the drop amount of the recording liquid corresponding to the printing data and set to the nozzles of each of the recording heads constituting the end area 701 thereof. |
