PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize the conveyance speed of a direct transfer side belt and that of an indirect transfer side belt.SOLUTION: An encoder E1 detects a pulse signal S1 associated with the conveyance speed V1 of an intermediate transfer belt 6. An encoder E2 detects a pulse signal S2 associated with the conveyance speed V2 of a transfer paper conveyance belt 8. Based on a count value per unit time of the pulse signal S1 and a target value V0 of the common conveyance speed of the intermediate transfer belt 6 and transfer paper conveyance belt 8, a print control unit 51 controls for feed back so that the conveyance speed V1 of the intermediate transfer belt 6 has a target value V0. Further, based on a count value per unit time of a pulse signal S2 and the target value V0, the print control unit controls for feed back so that the conveyance speed V2 of the transfer paper conveyance belt 8 has the target value V0.
