PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scintillator panel capable of high light output, a radiation image sensor, and a method for producing them.SOLUTION: A substrate 5 is prepared, and a scintillator material composed mainly of CsI is deposited on the substrate 5 to form a scintillator 10 so that a forest of columnar crystals, each several micrometers to several tens of micrometers in diameter, may rise. Pressure is applied to the surface of the scintillator 10, so that foreign bodies and abnormal growth portions in the columnar crystals are planarized. |
