PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve alkali resistance of a waterdrop slidable article which is obtained by using a treating agent including a short-chain fluoroalkylsilane.SOLUTION: The treating agent includes a linear polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) which has 2 or 3 hydrolyzable functional groups on at least one end thereof and 30-400 dimethylsiloxane units (-Si(CH)O-), a fluoroalkylsilane which has 4-6 fluorocarbon units (CFor CF), an organic solvent, an acid and water. The dimethylsiloxane units and the fluorocarbon units are exposed from the base surface by undergoing a step to apply the treating agent in which, before the hydrolysis reaction, the amount of the PDMS is 0.2-3.0 mass%, the amount of the fluoroalkylsilane is 0.4-2.5 mass%, and the total of the PDMS and the fluoroalkylsilane is 0.7-4.5 mass% relative to the total mass of the treating agent, and the mass ratio of the PDMS to the fluoroalkylsilane is from 7.5:1 to 1:12.5, to the surface of an article, and a step to heat the article at 50-250°C. |
