PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage measuring device for a battery pack composed of a plurality of part cells which can detect a failure surely when the failure occurs in a voltage measuring IC.SOLUTION: Each voltage measuring IC is provided with a reference-voltage outputting power source 28 for outputting reference voltages Vref. When self diagnosis is performed, the reference voltage Vref is digitized by an A-D converter 26 and transmitted to a main microcomputer 33. The main microcomputer 33 calculates a differential voltage ΔV between the reference voltages Vref transmitted by two voltage measuring ICs, and when the differential voltage ΔV is not lower than a predetermined threshold Vth1, it is determined that the voltage measuring device 10 malfunctions. Accordingly, the occurrence of the malfunction can be surely and quickly detected. |
