PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device that prevents the occurrence of uneven optical brightness at a place where light is distributed, has a high degree of freedom in configuration, and prevents wasteful use of light emitted from a light source.SOLUTION: The optical transmission device includes: a fiber bundle that is constituted of a plurality of individual optical fibers 17 which are bundled, with one end of the bundled optical fibers forming an entry end 18 and the other end forming an exit end, and that causes light emitted from an LED light source 30 to enter the entry end 18 and exit from the exit end; an entry end holder 22 that is installed to encompass the entry end of the fiber bundle and hold the entry end 18 while the fibers are bundled; and a diffusing sheet 25 that is installed at a location facing the entry end 18 of the fiber bundle to be supported by the entry end holder 22, receives the light emitted from the LED light source 30, diffuses the received light, and causes the diffused light to enter the entry end. |
