PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which includes an inorganic layer-like compound and is useful as the so-called "c plate", and in which when a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is stuck to the film, an adhesion force between the film and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is not reduced with time, to provide a coating liquid which is useful for producing the optical film and in which the inorganic layer-like compound is dispersed in an organic solvent, to provide a method for advantageously producing the coating liquid, and further, to provide a method for producing the optical film by using the coating liquid obtained by the method.SOLUTION: The optical film includes the inorganic layer-like compound which is not modified by organic matter and a cellulose derivative, in which the degree of substitution of a hydroxyl group is 2.1 to 3.0, and a number average molecular weight is in a range of 25,000 to 120,000. The coating liquid for producing the optical film includes the inorganic layer-like compound which is not modified by the organic matter, the cellulose derivative in which the degree of substitution of the hydroxyl group is 2.1 to 3.0 and the number average molecular weight is in a range of 25,000 to 120,000 and a polar organic solvent. The method for producing the optical film and the coating liquid is also provided. |
