PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which is advantageous for suppressing freezing of a freezing concern site in a hot water storage passage while achieving energy-saving.SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes: a cabinet 3 to house a stack 2; a hot water storage tank 40; the hot water storage passage 5; a water conveying source 59 to convey water in the hot water storage passage 5; a water temperature sensor 71 in order to detect water temperature in the hot water storage passage 5; and an outside air temperature sensor 72. When power generation operation of the stack 2 is stopped, when the outside air temperature detected by the outside air temperature sensor 72 is equal or lower than a first prescribed temperature T1, an intermittent mode operation is carried out in which driving and stopping of the water conveying source 59 are alternatively repeated by a control part until a first prescribed time M1 passes from a reference time after stopping the power generation operation of the stack 2. |
