PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a device for games from being left alone in a test mode.SOLUTION: Value specifying information that enables the specification of values applicable for games (hereinafter referred to as 'values') stored is transmitted to a server from the device for games. The server updates the involved values on the basis of the value specifying information from the device for games and information indicating a request for shift corresponding to the input received is transmitted. The device for games carries out a shift to a mode corresponding to the request for shift from the server and it is determined whether the timing reaches for switching over to the normal mode from the test mode or not. Then, mode specifying information that enables the specification of in which mode the involved values are stored between the normal or test mode is transmitted together with the value specifying information. The server updates the values stored in the mode corresponding to the mode specifying information from the device for games. When communication with the server is disrupted, the device for games carries out a switch over to the normal mode when given the determination that the switching timing is reached. |
