PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compute correctly a detectable range with a sonar device.SOLUTION: A detective distance computing system includes: a detectable or undetectable interval initialization section 11 which judges whether detection with a sonar section 50 is possible or impossible for every distance interval on the basis of the value of signal excess; a detectable interval merging section 12 where the length of undetectable interval which is judged as undetectable and the length of detectable interval which is judged as detectable are identified and on the basis of a relationship between the length of each undetectable interval and the both lengths of detectable interval adjacent to both back and forth sides of the undetectable interval concerned, the undetectable interval is forced to be merged to the detectable interval; and a detectable interval distance calculation section 14 which extracts the detectable interval within the distance interval forced to be merged as the detectable setting interval. |
